« on: July 08, 2010, 07:42:27 PM »
News to me. Idk if I'm out of the loop but its a kickass add on. Highly customizable and pretty resource light which makes it nice

Oh and did I mention its free? Just looking for a way to change up my desktop a little. First of a few mini apps to do so. Thought I would share with the masses

Yeah, you're a bit behind the curve on this one, but it's a solid app. I use a similar app on my laptop at work called RKLauncher and it's very handy to have, especially when I'm multi-tasking like a mofo because I can have all the convenience of a large "Quick Launch" toolbar but without taking up a lot of space in the taskbar. It auto-hides and stays out of the way until I mouse over the top-center to bring it into view. It looks like RocketDock is very similar in that regard, but it looks like it has good community support with the add-ons and skins and such, whereas RKLauncher seems to have stagnated and I don't think there's been an update to it in a couple of years.
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!

Yeah, RD is awesome.  Since I can't put a toolbar up at the top of my screen since using win7, it has been a life saver....kind of.
...I went to the FITES 200 man LAN and all I got was a case, a hat, a t-shirt, a HD cooler, a case fan, another t-shirt.....shall I go on?

You can still move the tool bar to the top of the screen in win7.

The task bar yes, but not a toolbar.  You used to be able to drag the My Computer icon (or any folder) to the top of the screen and it would make a toolbar with all your drives (or files in the folder) at the top of the screen.  Win7 does not do that anymore.  Even Vista did it.

Hrm. Guess I never knew about that.
