I'm making a DIY TrackIR system
« on: April 29, 2015, 09:53:09 PM »
The whole TrackIR thing looks interesting but I'm not about to shell out booku bucks for it for `the cool factor`. I'd much rather make my own.

There are several guides available online.

http://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/2gpr7r/completeish_facetracknoir_diy_trackir_guide/ is the one I'll be using. I ordered 6 of the special LEDs and will be using 3. If this project works, I'll gladly give the rest to someone interested in trying. I have a good webcam but got a PS3 eye for $8 at Just Press Play in Lancaster.

Very slick. And I am interested in seeing this in action. Might need to find a reason to come over to your house soon.
Eventually something cool will go in here. It's a matter of time.
